need several microphones, yet each doubling of open mikes will, to avoid feedback, reduce the gain involume by 3dB.
You will furthermore want to avoid comb filter
effects and a loss of S/N ratio and let alone an unintentional recording of background noise that affects speech intelligibility.
The ITEC-MICROMIX 4 is the solution:
- it knows which mike is beeing used
- it turns down the mikes not beeing used
- it can be relied on when there is heavy background noise or not (auto-treshold)
